Close up photo shows a bride and groom holding two interlocking puzzle pieces during a unity puzzle wedding ceremony ritual

This creative wedding ceremony script includes a unique unity ceremony: the unity puzzle ritual! With examples of what to say, a sweet exchange of wedding vows and rings, a moment of remembrance for lost loved ones, declaration of intent, and a simple pronouncement by the officiant. The perfect wording for your wedding, written by ordained AMM Minister Dan Henkel.

This is an original wedding ceremony script written by professional officiant Dan Henkel.

This officiant script opens with a warm welcome, followed by a moving moment of silence / moment of remembrance for lost or absent loved ones.

A unique unity puzzle ceremony is included to symbolize the life the couple is building together, and how they can work together to create a loving marriage. This unity ceremony can be performed as-is, or invite friends and relatives to participate in completing the puzzle, to represent the role the couple's family and community play in their relationship.

UNITY ceremony: unity PUZZLE RITUAL

OFFICIANT TO THE COUPLE

(Partner A) and (Partner B), today you join together your separate journeys. As a symbol of that remarkable endeavor, I now invite you to approach the unity puzzle, side by side.

  • THE COUPLE WALKS TO THE TABLE the holds the UNITY PUZZLE.

Officiant to the couple

This puzzle represents the many challenges you will face during your life together. Some of these will be easy, and others will be hard. You can expect times when you will struggle to find the way, and times when you need to try several approaches to find the one that works.

  • THE couple BEGINs TO ASSEMBLE THE PUZZLE.

Like the many facets of your individual lives and your life together, each piece of this puzzle is unique. The contours and outlines vary from one to another, yet there IS a solution—they complement one another and, together, they constitute something meaningful and lovely that is greater than any of the separate parts.

May your marriage be like this puzzle: rich and inspiring, full of challenges that hone your ability to understand, to cope and to enhance one another’s efforts.

May you grow together, strengthened by what you have accomplished in tandem and firm in your resolve to master any problem that life brings you.

May your joyful search for solutions inspire those around you in their own quests.

  • THE couple COMPLETEs THE PUZZLE AND REJOIN THE OFFICIANT AT FRONT.
