“March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers…” and gardens full of newlyweds!
Spring weddings and elopements are upon us, and we’re so excited for the season’s new trends. We expect to see layered pearls, big bows, Victorian-inspired puffs and embroidered corset paneling – plus custom unity ceremonies, unusual and ‘repurposed’ venues, simple ‘city hall inspired’ ceremonies over brunch, and lighthearted elopements filled with laughter.
Although some officiants confirm that bookings are off to a slow start this year, we’re already seeing a big boost in online searches for wedding ceremony scripts.
It’s going to be a fun year for weddings!
Below, we've compiled the season's most searched-for, viewed, and downloaded ceremony scripts in our script library. These ceremonies have been selected thousands of times in the past few months as couples for spring; use them 'as is,' or personalize them with unity rituals, readings, and written vows to make them uniquely yours.

The numbers don’t lie – this lighthearted officiant script is a hit! Couples love that it includes a funny wedding reading about marriage (from Wilferd Arlan Peterson's “The Art of a Good Marriage,"), an unplugged wedding announcement, sweet marriage vows, and more. Officiants love this wedding script because it’s easy to use and modify, and it’s the perfect length for a standard ceremony. It’s written by AMM Minister & Officiant Sherri Crawford.
Most couples are choosing simple wedding ceremonies this year, and this officiant script delivers! It’s stripped down to include only the essentials – a great choice for a quick and casual wedding ceremony. The Princess Bride is a perennial favorite as each new generation falls in love with its comedic charm! Couples love this great adaptation of the classic adventure, for a wedding day that’s full of quirky fairy-tale romance, humor, chivalry, and kissing parts. Written by AMM Minister Bernard King.
This simple handfasting script is a great alternative to a traditional wedding. The handfasting unity ritual is timeless – some couples love it as a secular symbol of their unity, while others are drawn to handfasting as a spiritual symbol with nondenominational, Pagan, Wiccan, and Celtic / Irish origins. Use this officiant script ‘as is’, or as a starting point to personalize the perfect custom celebration. Watch AMM Minister Jimmie Berguin deliver this ceremony script in a short video.

This modern twist on a traditional Filipino wedding ceremony is non-religious but steeped in meaningful symbolism and ritual! The ceremony includes a blessing from the couple's parents or elders, a unity veil and unity cord ritual, unity coins, a unity candle lighting ceremony, and guest participation. Written by AMM Minister and Officiant Dyanna Volek.
In keeping with the ‘simple and sweet’ trend this Spring, our last script on the list is short, straightforward, and wonderfully heartfelt.
