“The bridal party and I were in place, ready for the bride to make her entrance with her dad, when the venue manager came to me from the side and whispered in my ear...
"Dad is having chest pains.”
I whispered to the groom that I was going to see what was happening, and told the guests we'd begin momentarily.
I walk into the holding room to see the dad sitting in a chair, pale and sweating.

A wedding guest tends to the bride's father while medical help is called.
The bride was loosening his tie and unbuttoning his shirt. She was a nurse, and there happened to be a couple of doctors among the guests who came in to assess the situation.
The bride and the doctor guests weren't panicking, so I thought that I shouldn't panic either, haha...
The venue called an ambulance, and the bride decided to walk down the aisle with her uncle.
The ambulance came, took Dad, and I walked back into the ceremony space, telling the DJ to start the bridal entrance song.
I told everyone to rise for the bride, and the ceremony went great.
Turns out the dad had a panic attack and came back to the wedding after dinner!"
