Do you have a wedding story you’re dying to share, but probably shouldn’t?
Want to get something off your chest about a client? Or share something funny… Off the record?
The Anonymous Officiant is a new column published here, on the AMM American Weddings blog, featuring first-person accounts from the wild world of officiating… written by real wedding officiants and shared anonymously.
We’re looking for:
Give us the tea! Follow the guidelines below to have your submission considered for publication in The Anonymous Officiant.
*Spanish submissions will also be translated into English by AMM Staff
Note: Submissions are open to anyone who has officiated at least one wedding; you don’t need to be an experienced or professional officiant to send us something. We are accepting submissions on an ongoing basis; multiple submissions are encouraged.
All selections for publication are made at the editors’ discretion. Submissions might be lightly edited for grammar, spelling, length, and clarity. We will not print your name; your secret’s safe with us.
Fees / Compensation:
There are no fees or compensation to submit or publish your story. We won’t own the rights to your individual submission, but we might include it as part of a later collective work or anthology.
Topics we won't publish:
Oh, and we won’t publish political or religiously-themed rants, hate speech, or anything that encourages or advocates for discrimination… duh! (A little snark or spice is ok, though… We’ve all been there.)
