Bring friends and family together with this sweet bilingual wedding ceremony script. Written in English and Spanish, this original officiant script celebrates the joy, friendship, patience, and unconditional love that make a marriage successful. This ceremony can be delivered by a single bilingual wedding officiant, or share the speaking roles between two wedding officiants (co-officiants), taking turns with each language.

 

Ceremony Overview: Corinthians love verse & wedding order

 

The ceremony begins with a heartfelt welcome to your guests, and thoughtful invocation from the wedding officiant. This short officiant speech is delivered in English and Spanish, followed by a few special words on the nature of love, taken from the familiar Corinthians wedding reading (lectura de bodas de Corintios) : 

 

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude…”

 

Next, you'll exchange heartfelt written vows (personalized to you), followed by a meaningful wedding ring exchange. This portion of the ceremony is especially romantic and demonstrates your deep connection and unbreakable bond. These promises can be delivered in Spanish or English (or both, alternating each line), so that all of your loved ones can share in the experience. Read an excerpt from the ceremony below.

 

From the script (Bilingual wedding ring exchange): 

 

"As this ring encircles your finger, from this moment forward,
So will my love forever encircle you, you will never walk alone.

My heart will be your shelter, my arms will be your home.

We will walk through life as partners and best friends.

I promise to do my best to love, cherish, and accept you,

Just the way you are.

I give you my heart, until the end of time;

I have no greater gift to give.

I promise to love and cherish you always,

My greatest love and companion."

 

And in Spanish:

 

"Así como este anillo rodea tu dedo, a partir de este momento,

de igual forma mi amor te rodeará para siempre, nunca caminarás en soledad.

Mi corazón será tu refugio, mis brazos serán tu hogar.

Caminaremos por la vida como pareja y mejores amigos.

Prometo hacer todo lo posible para amarte, apreciarte y aceptarte,

Tal como eres.

Te doy mi corazón hasta, el final de los tiempos;

No tengo mayor regalo para dar.

Prometo amarte y cuidarte siempre,

Mi mayor amor y acompañante."

The ceremony follows a basic wedding ceremony outline, closing with the officiant’s Pronouncement of Marriage and a sweet kiss by the newlyweds before they head out to the reception for a night of laughter and dancing.
