Great news:
American Marriage Ministries recently updated our Puerto Rico Marriage Laws page to include each relevant law in both Spanish and English, in order to make this information accessible to all wedding officiants performing marriage in the popular island destination.
AMM works hard to keep our Marriage Laws library up to date, so that our ordained Ministers have reliable information when presiding over ceremonies, answering engaged couples' questions, and returning marriage licenses.
If you’re officiating a wedding ceremony in Puerto Rico and want to know the latest details on minister registration, age of majority, requirements for remarriage, completing the affidavit and license, and more, visit:
This updated link will take you to relevant sections of the New Civil Code (Leyes de Puerto Rico, Código Civil - Matrimonio) – Puerto Rico’s most current set of laws – available in the original Spanish and translated English.
