90s rap legend Da Brat married her long time partner, multi-millionaire businesswoman Jesseca "Judy" Dupart, last week on 2/22/22 – surrounded by friends, family, and the most luscious fuschia and pink fantasy florals we’ve ever seen.
The brides’ glamorous ceremony was held at the Horse Mansion in Fairburn, Georgia. From the photos the couple shared to Instagram, it’s clear no expense was spared. It was spectacular.
As you’d probably expect from these two talented queer icons, the guest list was legendary, with Keith Sweat, Jermaine Duprie, LisaRaye McCoy, Le'Andria Johnson, Rickey Smiley, Porsha Williams, Dr MJ Collier Jr, Headkrack (Lester Raynel Ruffin), and more turning up for the big day.
Da Brat (Shawntae Harris) and Dupart arrived at the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage, looking like they’d stepped right out of a fairytale, dressed in a stunning white wedding gown and suit.
During the ceremony, Da Brat shared a few funny and sweet memories of falling in love with Dupart: “To my most beautifulest, from the first day we met, I lost all my swag… I drank from my cup and I missed my whole mouth. I tried to smoke and I burned a hole in the couch.”
Live music and entertainment followed the ceremony (of course!), as part of a decadent catered reception serving Southern-fried lobster tails, short ribs, truffle mac-n-cheese, and grilled veggies. (via People)
These star-studded photos are only a teaser to Da Brat and Dupart’s full fantasy wedding; you'll be able to watch the whole event unfold during the upcoming season of Brat Loves Judy, on WE tv.
We love a gay dream wedding – we’ll see you there!
