AMM Frequently Asked Questions

Is American Marriage Ministries Legally Valid in Tennessee?

Yes, American Marriage Ministries now has mail-in ordinations that are compatible with Tennessee's new marriage laws. Our mail-in application allows our ministers to solemnize marriage in the state of Tennessee because they are not ordained online, but instead through a mailing process. You can download a copy of the mail-in ordination application from our Tennessee Minister's Rights page

Tennessee's legislature passed a law that forbids ministers ordained online. If you were ordained online, we now offer ordinations the old fashioned way - through the mail.

To apply for minister ordination by mail, please take the following steps:

1. Download and complete the updated Tennessee Mail Order Application.
2. Mail completed form to:
    American Marriage Ministries
    3618 Leary Way NW
    Seattle, WA 98107
3. Once your form has been processed, we will notify you of your ordination status by email.
4. The ordination status email will also contain instructions and a temporary password that will allow you to access your account on the AMM website.
5. Once logged in, you can access our minister’s training tool, visit our store page and purchase credential products

Since ordinations comleted by mail take longer to process, please allow a few extra weeks to process.
