Cynthia Nixon Will Officiate a GIANT Sapphic Group Wedding This Winter

Guess who’s officiating a giant sapphic wedding in St. Pete this winter? Why it’s Cynthia Nixon, the stylishly-coiffed LGBTQIA+ icon herself! Nixon will be heading down to sunny South Florida for “Bride Pride St. Pete,” a unique, mass wedding celebration for women-loving-women.

Promoted as the “World’s Largest All-Girl Wedding & Renewal Ceremony,” Bride Pride got its start ten years ago in Provincetown, Massachusetts – that charming, and very queer, coastal town at the tip of Cape Cod. (And yes, it;s transinclusive!!) Each year since, during Women’s Week Provincetown, about 50 couples have made the pilgrimage to Provincetown to get married or renew their marriage vows in the company of other brides. 

This year, in honor of a full decade of joyful group weddings, event founders Alli and Eileen Baldwin are going big, with a destination bash in St. Pete, and one very famous wlw wedding officiant – Cynthia Nixon.

According to People.com, “Bride Pride noted that it was aiming to break the World Guinness Record of “largest all-girl wedding and renewal ceremony” at the event. In order to break that record, they would need 100 couples to exchange vows.”
