Pop goddess Ariana Grande’s intimate wedding with Dalton Gomez just proved that short engagements and small ceremonies really can be a perfect match for big love.
The couple’s tiny wedding took place at Grande’s home in Montecito, California this weekend, after a brief 5 month engagement. Only 20 or so close friends and family members made it onto Ari and Dalton’s guest list.
"It was a beautiful day and very romantic,” a source told E! News. Guests described the event as full of love and happiness, and exactly what the newlyweds wanted.
We think that if Ariana and Dalton can find happiness with a small ceremony (especially considering the size of their budget), there’s no reason for the rest of us not to ditch the expectation and pressure of a huge wedding in favor of an intimate backyard ceremony!
Ariana once sang, “Yeah, my receipts, be lookin' like phone numbers/ If it ain't money, then wrong number/ Black card is my business card/ The way it be settin' the tone for me...”
And while we have zero doubts that this tiny ceremony came with some deluxe perks, smaller weddings are the easiest way for most couples to make their budget go farther.
By choosing a small ceremony -- like a micro wedding, elopement, or intimate gathering with just close loved ones at home -- couples can treat each lucky guest to a truly memorable experience, without racking up a big bill.
Even better? Ask one of your close friends or relatives to perform the ceremony! They can get ordained online in minutes, and learn everything they need to know about officiating a wedding using our Wedding Officiant training pages.
