On October 15th, AMM's virtual event series Officiants Online will host professional wedding officiant Kathy Vass of Ever After Ceremonies to learn about one of the most important parts of creating custom wedding ceremony script – how to write a love story for weddings.  

 

About this free virtual event: 

 

Officiant Kathy Vass is an expert on connecting deeply with couples to create the custom wedding ceremony of their dreams. Over the past 7 years, she’s fine-tuned this process, from the first interview to the final ceremony script, and is ready to share what she’s learned: Adding a couple’s custom love story to the wedding script brings every ceremony to the next level!

 

Kathy’s presentation will teach you valuable skills for interviewing your wedding couples, including the best questions a wedding officiant can ask to connect with a couple on a deeper level and learn about their love story. 

 

Then, Kathy will show you how to take the answers to these questions and turn them into a top-notch custom wedding ceremony script, infusing the ceremony with personal touches from start to finish! 

 

This presentation will be followed by an interactive Q&A session. We invite you to ask questions about the topic, as well as general questions about professional officiating. 

 

This event is open to wedding officiants of all levels of experience. First-time wedding officiants and established professional officiants are encouraged to attend, and it is completely free to register. 

 

You don’t have to be ordained with AMM to join this virtual class, but ordination with AMM is always a good idea! Our ministers are legally recognized to officiate weddings in every state* (although it’s much harder in Virginia, where we're looking into our options).

About the Speaker:

 

In her first life, Officiant Kathy Vass was a professional graphic designer working in promotions and marketing agencies. Burnt out and ready for a big change, she always wanted to work in the wedding industry. With a great love for stories and storytelling her journey finally led her to a big light bulb to become an officiant. 

 

She discovered American Marriage Ministries in 2017, became ordained — on her 40th birthday — and immersed herself in all things related to wedding ceremonies. She officiated her first few ceremonies in 2018 and fell in love with this new calling!

 

In 2021, she received her Associate Certificate from the Celebrant Academy completing their 3 month course on the history of ceremonies, rituals and ceremony writing.
