Issa Rae and Louis Diame tie the knot in France! Are destination weddings back?

Actress Issa Rae and her long time boyfriend Louis Diame headed to the South of France this weekend for a private, stunning wedding ceremony in the South of France. 

 

The two were joined only by close friends and family for the intimate event. Issa posed with five gorgeous bridesmaids -- each carrying a bouquet of pink and white roses -- and posted several photos to Instagram, sharing scenes of lush gardens, glittering ocean views, and loving moments with her new husband.

Almost as exciting as the Insecure star’s classic white Vera Wang wedding dress, or Diame’s bold red velvet jacket?

 

The fact that this high-style event took place overseas, reminding us that destination weddings are back! (With a few new precautions in place, of course…)

 

France reopened to both vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans on June 18, and vaccinated Americans (and those with proof of a recent negative COVID test) can even enjoy trips up the Eiffel Tower and afternoon strolls through art museums as newlyweds. 

 

For couples dreaming of a private vow renewal in Paris, a micro wedding in Marseille, or romantic nuptials in Nice -- the wait is over!
