You’ve probably heard of a ‘Stone Blessing Ceremony,’ right? Why not put a fun twist on this offbeat tradition for your Easter wedding!
Yep, we’re talking about Easter Egg Blessings…
First, let’s cover the basics: During a Stone Blessing Ceremony, guests choose a colorful rock from a bowl near the entrance and then ‘bless’ it while you take your vows. As in, they hold them in their hands and infuse them with wishes for happiness, lasting love, and good health. This ritual gives friends and family the chance to participate in your ceremony and show their support for your marriage.
After the stones have been blessed, newlyweds usually keep them at home as a sweet reminder, use them to decorate the garden, or toss them into a stream or the ocean as part of a spiritual ‘wishing’ ceremony.

Leave a bowl of colorful hard-boiled Easter eggs in a dish by the entrance to your ceremony. Invite guests to choose their favorite as they’re seated, and to ‘bless’ them with well-wishes while you exchange your wedding vows.
After the ceremony, your adult guests can head outdoors to hide these sweet Easter eggs – and create an epic Easter egg hunt that will keep the group’s children entertained throughout the reception.
It’s the perfect twist for an Easter wedding celebration!
