"I was with The Bryan Fire Department for 36 plus years. I rose to the rank of Captain before I retired. I helped train both of them and was their officer for all of their careers till I retired. They both showed up at my house and wanted to know if I could marry them. They said I had taken good care of them in the fire service and that I would be their choice to marry them. "Carson and Connor were looking for a laidback wedding with close friends and asked me to witness. They were thrilled to learn I was willing to get ordained and officiate! Being such a small event due to Covid-19, it was perfect for my first ceremony! I drove out to California with our other GCU theater friends whom were coming to witness. We held the ceremony in a public park in San Diego, watched the sunset on the beach, and spent the weekend in their home celebrating!"
