"This was first time officiating and the best advice I have is to write down your script and rehearse it a few times. Then revise it into just quicker bullet sentences in larger font to prompt you to say certain things so you won’t be reading from the paper. Copy your script onto thicker cardstock paper that doesn’t fold when holding. Relax and take deep breaths when needed. And use comedy and personalize with stories for each participant as it is appreciated. "
