"The happy couple met in graduate school en route to their doctorates, which they both completed, the groom's defense was in 2021. I was "on deck" as a favor to the MOB in case the "primary" officiant fell through. Of course they did. It was my first time and most of the attendees were strangers. I didn't have time to memorize my remarks, as I barely had time to finish writing them days before the event, so reading from my verbatim notes in my AMM portfolio was not ideal...(continued)"

"This was a memorable wedding as it was my first one on a beach. The sound of the waves were loud, very overcast sky and some sprinkling rain (the God's blessing the wedding). This was also the first time I performed as an Officiant on my Ukulele, I played and sung "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" by Elvis Presley. The couple did their first dance after the wedding to that song."
