"A small, intimate ceremony at the site of a historic rural church! The couple wanted a simple ceremony with just their closest family present, and I did my best to accommodate! The bride is also my sister-in-law, so it made the event extra meaningful for me as an officiant. "

"I had never thought to officiate a wedding. But when my friend asked me to do it, I responded that it would be an honor. From there I signed up on AMM and drafted a script that the couple liked. The primary stress was just knowing "my attendance is not optional." Although I had rehearsed, I still read from a large PowerPoint printout. I bought a minister shirt off of Amazon. It was fun feeling the "sorry Father" respect of that role."

I started with a script from AMM about opposites attracting and added personal stories of the couple.
