"We come together not to mark the start of a relationship, but to recognize and celebrate an existing bond. A bond initiated when they first met 28 years ago. With my Divine Imagination, I can see my cousin Thomas saying something poetic as he saw Debbie: ‘On a clear day, rise and look around you / And you’ll see just who you are. On a clear day, how it will astound you / That the glow of your being outshines every star.’ They became friends. They eventually met other people and built lives and families. Then life did what life always does. They lost contact with each other. They reconnected about 8 years ago; the number 8 symbolizes new beginnings. Since then, they’ve experienced triumphs and challenges, peaks and valleys. To be sure, the last several months have reminded them how strong their love for each other is. They’ve been tested in ways many of us have not been tested. Through it all, they’ve remained friends. Their tests have been transformed into a beautiful, collective testimony of strength and love.
