I took marriage courses and minister courses and was ordained to marry people. North Carolina is a funny state, while you do not have to be registered in the state. They do recommend being ordained through AMM. I continue to preach in any church that invites me to come. I only preach from the KJV and believe in only male/female Marriages that are sanctified by God.
