Mr. Anderson has 33 years’ experience working with various State agencies and the Federal Government. He began his career with the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter while attending college. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a B.S. degree in Forestry/Hydrology, Mr. Anderson worked for the California Integrated Waste Management Board as an Inspector of waste processing facilities. In 1996, Mr. Anderson transferred to the California Air Resources Board (ARB) where he worked for the Quality Assurance Section and then for the ARB’s Compliance Division as a Compliance Training Instructor. In 2000, Mr. Anderson transferred over to the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services working in the Hazardous Materials Section where he has been tasked as the lead for the Section as well as responsible with emergency response coordination, spill release reporting, hazardous materials team typing, Hazardous Materials by Rail, and improving multi-agency emergency response to major hazardous materials incidents in the State of California. Mr. Anderson is a Certified Hazardous Materials Specialist with WMD capabilities, Adjunct CSTI HazMat Instructor, CPR/First Aid Master Instructor with Medic First Aid. Finally, Mr. Anderson has successfully conducted two marriages that have both lasted over 15 years. He has also recently updated his Ordained Minister licence with Universal Life and created a licence with the American Marriage Ministries (AMM)
