I am a native Floridian born and raised in Miami, Florida. I attended undergraduate and law school at both of Florida's preeminent designated state universities and have been practicing law in Miami since 1991. I am a Founding Partner of the bankruptcy boutique law firm of Aaronson Schantz Beiley P.A. established in 2011. My primary areas of practice include debtors and creditors? rights, out-of-court workouts, debt restructuring, commercial litigation and the representation and counseling of financial institutions. I have represented debtors, creditors and Trustees in bankruptcy cases in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, numerous Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors and out of court workouts. I have also served as outside general litigation counsel to several financial institution including Florida?s largest bank for whom I provided representation and counseling for several years, involving contract disputes, title insurance claims, creditors rights and workouts, fraud, corporate transactions, real estate and construction litigation, the prosecution of residential, consumer and commercial foreclosures, and the defense of claims and suits brought by borrowers, third parties and regulators dealing with compliance and litigation under BSA, TILA and RESPA, as well as subpoena and grand jury subpoena compliance, writs of garnishment, government seizures and levies. I am proud to say that my legal expertise, professionalism and ethics have been recognized by my peers as symbolized by an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell; as one of Florida?s Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, and as one of Florida?s Super Lawyers. I have been actively involved at the highest levels of community service by chairing a Florida Bar grievance committee, serving as a Director of the Young Lawyer's Section of the Dade County Bar Association, serving on the University of Florida College of Law Alumni Council for many years, serving as a board member and officer of Switchboard of Miami for a decade and founding and chairing the Community Foundation of Pinecrest. I have been married to my college sweet-heart, now a public school teacher, for as long as I have been working and we are raising kids in college, high school and elementary school. I am a notary public in the State of Florida, but have yet to perform a wedding. My first wedding is being performed out-of-state for my best friend since high school.
