About Marilyn Weisberg

Marilyn lives in Minnesota and was ordained by American Marriage Ministries on July 2nd, 2014.

I believe that love is love and all people are entitled to the benefits and the spiritual connection of marriage. Each couple is unique and it is my mission to prepare and perform a ceremony which reflects the beliefs, wishes, and traditions of the partners of this couple. Part of my service is to prepare a keepsake pamphlet of each individual marriage ceremony. I have volunteered for many years and written or coordinated informal worship services and information programs, writing scripts and coaching participants. I also have written newsletters and been on many conference committees. I enjoy working with people to enhance their life-cycle events making every occasion personal and special. After graduation from Mills High school in Millbrae California, I attended UCLA for two years and then studied at the Hebrew Union College where I received a BA in Jewish Religious Education. I met my husband, Sidney Weisberg, at HUC and we were married in 1963. We lived in Long Beach, CA for ten years, spent two years in Seattle and then moved to Minneapolis for an employment opportunity. I have three children: Aviva born in 1964, Ori in 1968, and Ruth in 1971. Ori is married and the father of three children. Sidney died in 2005. Through the years I have had many vocational and volunteer adventures. Some of the things I have done included part-time teaching, making and selling home accessories and draperies, working for a home organizing retail/in-home sales company, real estate sales, and administration of non-profit agencies. I have kept pace with the times and have understanding and skills in many computer applications ? mostly self-taught and do desktop publishing as well. I have kept my interest in music activities alive mostly by singing in a synagogue choir and just this last and in a community-wide chorale to promote the singing of Jewish music in a concert setting.
