WHY I BECAME AN ORDAINED MINISTER: I became an ordained minister so that I could perform my brother and his fiances wedding ceremony. I was filled with honor and complete shock when the words left my brother's mouth! I took this request very seriously and created their ceremony as if it was my own. The wedding had a very large bridal party and 150 guests to keep the attention of. I made sure to have a touch of religion, humor, sentiment and a pleasant flow. The second couple was referred to me. They did not live here and I didn't know anything about them until the night before the wedding rehearsal. I sat with them for approximately an hour and instantly felt honored to be a part of their big day. They had been dating for 10 years but had known each other for 20. They were each other's first kiss and definitely one another's best friend. Since I was forced to create their ceremony before I had the opportunity to speak with them, I went home and stayed up until 3:00 am revamping the ceremony I created for them. I made it more personally tailored to the life they were sharing and their history. Their wedding was the opposite of the first wedding I performed in regards to the amount of guests to entertain and keep the attention of. It was the three of us plus seven guests. It was very intimate and meaningful and no matter what the size of the occasion, I have proven to myself and others that I will treat it as if it were my own. I will make sure that the lucky couple feels like just that!, lucky they have found me to make their special day the best custom made wedding that any of their guests have ever been to. MY BELIEFS: I was raised in a Catholic family and went to church for christenings, communions, weddings, funerals and the occasional mass. As an adult, I find myself more spiritual than anything. I believe in loving the people around me as much as possible. I feel people should treat others the way they wish to be treated. I live my life as honest and hardworking as humanly possible. I work hard everyday to be a better person than I was the day before. I have become more spiritual than religious because of the restrictions that organized religions seem to have. I believe that everyone has the right to love and spend their life with the person they choose...no matter what! Love is the whole reason why we are all here on this earth. What a horrible place it would be if we were not allowed to be ourselves and find that person that makes us feel loved and safe within our own skin. CEREMONIES: I will perform a ceremony for any couple that believes in being kind and nurturing to each other. Love is too precious not to be shared!
