I recently got engaged to my partner, and though we are spiritual people, we do not belong to any organized religion. To perform our ceremony in May 2013, I asked my best friend of more than 30 years to do the honors, Joni Whitwam. She got ordained on American Marriage Ministries. Then, nearly a year after our engagement, my baby sister also got engaged! (Well she's 30, but she's a baby sister to me!) Now they're planning a wedding in September of 2013 and she asked me to perform their wedding ceremony. So now we're both getting married by the people we love the most in our lives. Here's to a wedding-filled 2013!!
