My name is Kylie "Asheton" (she/they) and I am 21 years old. I identify as queer and I am a practicing Pagan. I have lived in Utah my entire life. I am AuDHD and I am very fond of Transformers and video games. The last thing I expected to be when I grew up was a wedding officiant. But growing up, I saw the unfair treatment the LGBTQ+ community faced. I've always been involved, as my beloved grandad is gay. I later came out of the closet myself. And if you are queer and grew up in Utah, you can understand that it can be a not so fun experience. As I grew older, I also started exploring other religious practices and that was how I came to be Pagan. As I've gotten older, as my friends and family memebers have gotten married, I realized that there really isn't a ton of options for ministers outside of the LDS church. Which, if you have religous trauma like a lot of LGBTQ+ and Pagan individuals, it can be hard finding a minister that can officiate your wedding. I've always had a hard time trying to figure out what my purpose is. I knew deep down it had to be with helping people in some way. Turns out that calling was helping my Pagan & LGBTQ+ brothers, sisters and siblings marry the loves of their lives peacefully in a judgement free atmosphere.
