About Jason Canaan

Jason lives in Maryland and was ordained by American Marriage Ministries on September 5th, 2011.

I joined the entertainment industry in 1999 as a Professional Disc Jockey, I completed my Wedding Training in 2001, and 10-years later decided to get ordained in the event of an emergency. Often times performing on a chartered yacht or in a secluded place we would experience officiant's running behind or even a no-show. I was able to marry a wonderful couple in November of 2011, and from there I've genuinely enjoyed marrying couples on occasion. I'm a huge advocate for marriage and even marriage equality, I recognize that love is love, and that love is an amazing thing. It's been a real honor to join many couples as they begin a lifelong journey together as companions. I'm overjoyed to share that I'm married to my best friend and lifelong companion Carolyn, our son Logan turns 9-years old at the end of 2016, and we have a young daughter Danielle whose almost 2-years of age. I've been fortunate and blessed to have received many awards for my services both on a national and local stage including being the recipient of both local and State of Maryland citations. We raise our children by the Christian-Methodist belief however any Non-Denominational commitment to Marriage supporting the dedication such a lifestyle asks of any couple is something I deeply respect.
