"It was a pleasure and a little nervous officiating Makeisha and Quenton’s wedding this past weekend, (not because I have not officiated before) because of this Coronavirus pandemic that has affected everyone, the Wedding Industry, Brides, Grooms and everyone. I will say though at the wedding rehearsal I felt more at ease as there was temperature checks, wearing of masks, and social distancing. The day of the wedding came, and all were following the protocols put in place including me wearing a mask. Just before the wedding ceremony was about to begin, just before I took my place, I took my mask off and made the lovely announcement about cellphones. Excitement set in. The processional began and the Bridal party, Bride and Groom no mask for the ceremony as they came down the aisle. Social distancing was in place. All guests had their masks on and comfortably seated. The moment the bride entered the walkway to come down the aisle, the look on the Groom’s face was priceless, as their eyes locked you could tell. I was so excited for them as the love they both have for one another shines so bright. I love telling a couples Love Story (one of the best parts of the ceremony) was amazing and how they met, some laughter and tears. Their personal vows there was not one dry eye. They incorporated a Sand Ceremony. Amazing! What was cool was having the Groom’s side of the family that was supposed to be at the wedding but because of COVID-19 were not able to travel as the borders in Turks and Caicos have not opened, so they appeared via Zoom to watch the Ceremony-how cool! All in all, it was a beautiful day for Makeisha and Quenton’s Wedding Day at a time such as this. "
