"Amy and Nathan met Katrina and Jared to go over the contract for wedding services, about 5 months prior to their wedding day. The meeting was held at a Mexican restaurant in Chesnee South Carolina which turned out be ironic, since the food for the wedding day was a taco buffet! It was immediately apparent to us that Jared and Katrina’s wedding was going to be LOTS of fun! It seems as though the couple was fully into all the fun ideas we had for customizing their ceremony and all the suggested fun activities for their reception. As part of our usual process, we hand our couples a “get to know you” sheet with 5 questions about the bride and groom. The answers we get back are poetically inserted into their final ceremony. When we received Jared and Katrina’s answers back, we were amused and so relieved to have such fun and sweet answers to work with. Katrina says that she knew Jared was the one for her when she had a hamster die, and Jared comforted her – not ashamed to show he had a sensitive side. Katrina also mentioned that she knew Jared was the one for her one evening when the two of them were walking in downtown Gatlinburg TN. She said the feeling was indescribable and she only knew she wanted her life with him to stay like that forever. The couple also fully enjoy the challenge and teamwork they encounter when going to escape rooms together. Katrina said the first time they went to an escape room – they made such a great team and had so much fun helping one another. Jared was comforted by Katrina’s relationship advice, when he was going through a tough break-up. He said her care and tenderness in being someone to listen when he needed to vent – made him realize she really cared for him. Jared also adds that Katrina and he went on a long road trip, which made him realize that she would stick beside him through anything. Most photos included here are by Jade Kelly of Through The Looking Glass Photography."

Announcement
(TO EVERYONE, WAIT TILL NATHAN BRINGS MUSIC DOWN)
In any ceremony – especially one filled with such sentiment and meaning – the observers or guests play as essential role as does the actors. Jared and Katrina would be so happy to know that everyone here was present in the moment and were able to fully share the love and sentiment of the ceremony. Therefore, they have asked that everyone refrain from using any electronic devices during this ceremony – and feel the love.

Charge to Couple
(TO JARED AND KATRINA)
Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, and to let go of the rest. The utility of this ceremony is to witness and affirm the choice you make to stand together as life mates and partners - the rest is up to love and determination.
Declaration of Intent

Charge to Everyone
(TO EVERYONE)
Two people in love do not live in isolation. Their love is a source of strength with which they may nourish not only each other but also the world around them. And in turn, we, their community of friends and family, have a responsibility to this couple. By our steadfast care, respect, and love, we can support their marriage and the new family they are creating today. Will everyone please rise.

Vow Exchange
We've come to the point of your ceremony where you're going to say your
vows to one another. But before you do that, I ask you to remember that love—
which is rooted in trust, and acceptance—will be the foundation of an abiding and deepening relationship. No other ties are more tender, no other vows more sacred than those you now assume.
When you keep the vows taken here today - not because of any religious or civic law, but out of a desire to love, and be loved by another person fully, and without limitation - then your life will have joy, and the home you build will be a place where you both find growth, freedom, and responsibility. Please now read the vows you have written for each other.

(JARED RECITES VOWS TO KATRINA)
(silly surprise - Jared will have the vowels A E I O U on poster boards and will hand them out to groomsmen to hold while he says his vows he may say them while moving then return to spot when done or to finish)
Sand Ceremony
(Nathan will play music very lightly during your speaking here)
Today these two are making a life-long commitment to share the rest of their lives with each other. Yet the journey is not theirs alone. Family relationships are symbolized through the pouring of these individual containers of sand.
They each hold separate containers of sand representing their lives to this moment - individual and unique. As they now combine the sand together, their lives are also symbolically joined together. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, also will their marriage and families be.
Ring Exchange
(TO KATRINA AND JARED)
May I have the rings, please?
(Either ring bearer or best man/maid of honor will hand these to you)
(TO EVERYONE)
The ring, an unbroken circle, represents unending love. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you be reminded of this moment and the love you have promised to one another.
(Hand rings to Jared and Katrina)
(TO KATRINA)
Katrina, please place the ring on Jared’s left ring finger, then repeat after me: I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you.
(TO JARED)
Jared, please place the ring on Katrina’s left ring finger, then repeat after me: I give you this ring, as a daily reminder of my love for you.
Pronouncement
(TO KATRINA AND JARED)
Katrina and Jared, I want to wish you both much love and happiness as you begin your new journey. Jared, remember to keep making glow-in-the-dark heart shaped rocks for Katrina, and you will never have to go without seeing Katrina’s smile. Katrina, never stop trying to make meatloaf and pretzel jello for Jared’s birthday, and helping him by cleaning out his truck as a surprise. Never stop pinching and chasing one another. Keep the laughter and fun alive – and the love will always follow.
By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me by the State of South Carolina, I - now pronounce you husband and wife! Jared - you may kiss your bride!
