Kwame Eastman And Rae Anne Mason’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

What greater thing for two persons than to feel they are joined together; to strengthen each other in labor; to rest on each other in sorrow, to help each other in need, to share joy, and to be one with each other - whatever life has to offer.

We are gathered together here to join Kwame Eastman and RaeAnne Mason in the Holy Matrimony. In the time they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife.

PRAYER

Now, let us Pray

Heavenly Father we are here on this day to give thanks for the love you have shared with these two individuals. We ask that you help and to always remember when they first met and to remember the strong love that grew between them. To work that love into practical things so that nothing divides them. Please help them find words both kind and loving and hearts, always ready to ask for forgiveness as well as able to forgive. Father, we put this marriage in your hands. Amen.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

BIBLE READING

Reading: Genesis 29:18-20 Jacob was in love with Rachel and said, 'I work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel. Laban said, better that I give her to you than to some other man. Stay here with me So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.

Kwame and RaeAnne, today begins a life of giving and sharing, nurturing and support; allowing each other the freedom to change and grow as individuals while developing your mutual spirit as time goes by. It is about establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual, and obligation is reciprocal, but more importantly to lift each other up spiritually and not lead each other into temptation.

Kwame Eastman and RaeAnne Mason will now share their vows.

*(Vows)*

Do you Kwame Eastman take this woman RaeAnne Mason to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?

*(Wait for Confirmation)*

(Officiant: then to the bride who repeats the marriage vows.)

I RaeAnne take thee Kwame to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, honour, and cherish, 'til death do us part.

VOWS EXCHANGE

These vows are a promise to one another and an important marker of your dedication to one another. Use these to keep in mind the importance of today.

Kwame, repeat after me: I, Kwame take you RaeAnne , to be my wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, excluding all others, as long as we both shall live. With God as my witness, I give you my pledge.

RaeAnne, repeat after me: I, RaeAnne take you Kwame , to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, excluding all others, as long as we both shall live. With God as my witness, I give you my pledge.

Kwame Eastman and RaeAnne Mason will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.

*(Ring Exchange)*

VOWS & RINGS EXCHANGE

Now if you have any personal vows or words you would like to exchange, now would be the time. The rings- place the ring half way one each finger than hold each others hands. The ring is a circle, that circle is a symbol of trust. That trust is not to be broken. For now you enter a covenant between husband, wife and the Lord, Almighty. You may now take the time to place the rings all the way down the finger.

READING FROM CORINTHIANS

1; 13 Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful or conceited, it is never rude or selfish, it does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's faults, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope. It is always ready to endure whatever comes. True love does not come to an end.

PRONOUNCEMENT

Lord, please bless this new family as they navigate the times ahead, help them to know what Your will is and the decisions they need to make. We ask that you would continue to bless them and help them to know You are near. In Your name we pray, Amen.

By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the State of Maryland I now pronounce you husband and wife!
