Before we Begin I would ask everyone to bow their heads in prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We give you thanks for your gift of love and invite your presence here with us now as we witness the vows of marriage between Kimberly and Derek. We ask you to bless this ceremony and to guide them from this day forward.

In Jesus name amen.

I met Kimberly at work and little did I know that we would become friends. We realized friendship has no age and because we became friends I got another friend… And his name is Derek. I am so blessed to have both of them in my life.

Kim and I went on a trip to Washington together last year and when we got back Derek let us into their backyard where he surprised Kim and asked her to marry him. What a shock! Not only did I get to be there, but she said yes! Now I get to be a part of this beautiful day.

We are gathered together today to witness the marriage of Kimberly and Derek. As Kimberly and Derek start this journey together, they will nurture a love that makes them better versions of themselves. Kimberly and Derek… Keep your spouse in highest priority in your heart. The love you share is your most valuable treasure. Always remember these words, love is patient and kind... love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude...it does not demand its own way...It is not irritable,And keeps no record of being wronged. Love never gives up, never loses faith and is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.
