We are gathered here today to join Patrick King and Jennifer Lueck in the spiritual union of marriage.
This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.
It is with this understanding that I would like to share the Fireman's prayer in respect towards the selfless career choice that Patrick has as a fireman and that Jennifer has as a wife and nurse.
When I am called to duty, God, whenever flames may rage, give me strength to save some life, whatever be its age. Help me embrace a little child before it is too late, or save an older person from the horror of that fate. Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, and quickly, and efficiently to put the fire out. I want to fill my calling, and to give the best in me, to guard my every neighbor and protect his property. And if, according to my fate, I am to lose my life, please bless with your protecting hand my child and wife.
Amen.
Patrick and Jennifer will now share their vows.
Please repeat after me:
*(Vows)*
Do you Patrick King take this woman Jennifer Lueck to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?
*(Wait for Confirmation)* I DO
Do you Jennifer Lueck take this man Patrick King to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?

Seeing that both Patrick and Jennifer wish to join together in this union of marriage, they will now share the vows that they have written for each other.
Jennifer: Patrick, from this moment, I take you as my best friend for life. I pledge to honor, encourage, and support you through our walk together. When our way becomes difficult, I promise to stand by you and uplift you, so that through our union we can accomplish more than we could alone. I promise to work at our love and always make you a priority in my life. With every beat of my heart, I love you.
Patrick: Jennifer, you have been my best friend, mentor, confidant, and greatest challenge. But most importantly, you are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible. You have made me a better person, as our love for one another is reflected in the way I live my life. Today, I take my place as your husband. May our days be long, and may they be seasoned with faith, love understanding and respect forever and ever. I love you.
It is now time for Patrick and Jennifer to exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment.
*(Ring Exchange)*
By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the State of South Carolina I now pronounce you husband and wife!
Everybody, for the first time, please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Patrick and Jennifer King!
