Officiated by Amber J Convery at Pine Haven in Beaver, West Virginia on February 29th, 2020. Witnessed by Mary Goebel and Cleo Griffith.
"Dakota and James met during their time in community theatre, they went on to seeing each other often during their years in college. I had a personal connection to the bride and groom; so this wedding was as emotional for me as it was to them. It was a beautiful ceremony made up of close friends and family. The venue was a cabin nestled in the snowy mountains of West Virginia. It was a warm gathering to celebrate two extraordinary humans."

Beloved and Honored Guests,
Before we begin the ceremony, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the beauty of a community comprised of friends and family gathering in one place to celebrate the union of the two extraordinary humans that stand before us today.
I have known both for a long time, and in that time, I have been a first-hand witness of the trust and love that they share for one another.
This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Dakota Ballengee and James Blankenship have proven time and time again their understanding of this spiritual union. It is a proud moment for all of us to witness two humans who understand the gravity that is a spiritual union; to come in front of loved ones to make a declaration of the devotion that they have for one another.
Do you Dakota Ballengee take this man James Blankenship to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?
