Daniel George Kelsey And Jessica Danielle Phillips’ Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

On behalf of Daniel and Jessica and their families, I would like to welcome all of you. Each one of you has been asked here today to share in this celebration and witness the love they have for each other and their commitment to share the rest of their lives together. Your love, your encouragement and continued support will be invaluable as they begin the next chapter of their lives together. They are honored by your presence and grateful you have chosen to celebrate this special day.

When you arrived you were handed a small blessing stone. Please hold onto this as it will be needed later in the ceremony.

Dearly beloved, family and friends, we are gathered here today before God to offer support and to witness the beginning into the joyous covenant of marriage of Daniel and Jessica and to celebrate the becoming of man and wife together.

Let us pray. Dear God thank you for this day, thank you for bringing all of us here to celebrate the marriage of Daniel and Jessica. God please bless this couple now and today as they declare their love for each other and consecrate their bond before you, and us all. Amen

Who presents this woman to be married to this man?

Ryan: I do

Jessica please give your bouquet to your Maid of Honor.

Now join your hands; and with your hands, your heart. (William Shakespeare)

The hands you now hold will be the hands that comfort you through the ups and downs of life, the hands that will wipe away your tears, the hands that will hold your children, pet your dog and bring you back if you should drift away.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.

These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

This union will be the most important commitment of your life. A commitment that must be consciously upheld, a commitment to each other, a promise to always be there. A duty to always guard against the stresses of life that can cause any marriage to suffer, a commitment to keep your love close to you always; and your home a private, peaceful place of comfort for the two of you as you build your life together.

Marriage is a promise, a shared secret dream for a life of happiness together. And when two people pledge to love and care for each other in marriage, they create a bond unique to themselves that brings them closer than any spoken or written words.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. (Helen Keller)

So Daniel and Jessica;

We are here today for you to say your wedding vows to one another; these vows cannot be taken lightly as they will be the start of your lives together as man and wife. Are you ready to take you vows?

Both of you; yes

Do you, Daniel, take Jessica to be your lawfully wedded wife? From this day forward, to have and to hold, for better, for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, forsaking all others till death do you part?

Daniel; I do

Then repeat after me

I Daniel, take you Jessica to be my wife.
To have and to hold
from this day forward.
I promise to be your true and loyal husband
to love and honor you always.
From now until the end of my days.

I will love you today,

I will love you tomorrow

I will love you always

Jessica are you ready to take your wedding vows to Daniel?

Jessica; Yes

Do you, Jessica, take Daniel to be your lawfully wedded Husband? From this day forward, to have and to hold, for better, for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, forsaking all others till death do you part?

Then repeat after me;

I Jessica, take you Daniel to be my Husband.
To have and to hold
from this day forward.
I promise to be your true and loyal wife
to love and honor you always.
From now until the end of my days.

I will love you today,

I will love you tomorrow

I will love you always

Daniel and Jessica, you have taken your vows of love for your marriage. It is now time to give to each other the rings that are a symbol of never ending love. They are a circle symbolizing eternity.

Daniel, do you have such a symbol of your love?

Daniel; yes

Please place the ring on her finger and repeat after me:

Jessica, I give you this ring
As a symbol of my love.
And as a reminder
That I have chosen you
To be the one
To share my life.
