Ankit & Christine Wedding Ceremony
We are gathered here today to celebrate, in the presence of Friends and Loved Ones, to witness the marriage of Ankit Mathur and Christine Reed.
This is a day of great celebration, for a married life – a shared life – is a great blessing. As Ankit and Christine embark on this journey together they will be able to nurture a love that make them better version of themselves. Marriage is a garden we sow with love, and harvest in personal growth.
Ankit and Christine, on your journey together, keep your spouse in the space of highest priority in your heart. The love that you share must be guarded and cherished forever, for is your most valuable treasure. Always remember these words; Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Now, let us Pray,
Heavenly Father we are here on this day to give thanks for the love you have shared with these two individuals. We ask that you help Ankit and Christine to always remember when the first met and to remember the strong love that grew between them. To work that love into practical things so that nothing divides them. Please help them find words both kind and loving and heartfelt, always ready to ask for forgiveness as well as able to forgive. Father, we put this marriage in your hands.
Amen.
Declaration of Intent

Do you take him to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer and poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?
If so, please say “I DO”

Candle Ceremony
Now we shall celebrate this union as it is symbolized through the lighting of the unity candle.
Ankit and Christine come from two different families, two different heritages. We are especially grateful for the values which have flowed into them from those who have loved and nurtured them along life's way.
The heritage each brings to this marriage will continue to be an important element in their lives, but now will be shared between them. Out of these two families, a new family will be created.
Ankit and Christine Please light the two taper candles.
These candles represent your individual spirits, your individual connections with God, all that you are and, all that you have been, and all that you will become.
The center candle represents their marriage - The joining of two friends with the added roles of husband and wife. It is the light of love and the light of new beginnings. Its fire is magical because it represents the light of two people in love.
This candle before you is a candle of commitment because it takes two people working together to keep it aflame. This candle is also a candle of unity because both must come together, giving spark of themselves to create the new light.
Please take the two taper candles, representing your individual selves and light the center candle representing your marriage.
(together bride and groom take their tapered candles and light the center unity/marriage candle)
As you light this candle today, may the brightness of the flame shine throughout your lives. May it give you courage and reassurance in darkness, warmth and safety in the cold, and strength and joy in your bodies, minds and spirits. May your union be forever blessed.
The Best thing about a marriage is not Love, But Honesty.
Love holds the marriage together and will get you through the difficult times.
Honesty is the core.
