We are gathered together here to join Ana Hernandez and Omar Hassan Abunejem in the spiritual union of marriage.

We are here to give recognition to the love that is shared between them as they come together in holy matrimony.

Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of our lives. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, always trusting the other and to let go of the rest.

I would now like to invite you in the exchanging your vows and rings as a symbol of your love and commitment to one another.

Omar: Ana, , from the moment I first saw you, I knew you were the one I wanted to share the rest of my life with. Your beauty, heart, and mind inspire me to be the best man that I can be. I promise to always love you, respect you, honor you, remain faithful to you. I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind, and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and I will always cherish you. *(Place ring on her left ring finger)* Ana, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken here today.

Ana: Omar, today I become your wife and you become my husband. I will strive to give you the best of myself while accepting you the way you are. I promise to respect you as a whole person with your own interests, desires, and needs, and to realize that those are sometimes different, but no less important than my own. I promise to keep myself open to you, to let you into my innermost fears and feelings, secrets and dreams. I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to face change as we both change, keeping our relationship alive and exciting. And finally, I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am as a whole, in the only way I know how, completely and forever. *(Place ring on his left ring finger)* Omar, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. As I place it on your finger, I commit my heart and soul to you. I ask you to wear this ring as a reminder of the vows we have spoken here today.

May they remind you that marriage is not a destination but a journey, with no beginning and no end, just a moment to moment opportunity to love and be loved to the best of your ability.

May these rings be blessed as the symbol of your love and faithfulness to one another today, tomorrow and always.
