Invocation
Good Evening and Welcome! We have come together today to witness the creation of marriage. Marriage is the most intimate of all relationships. It is the ultimate commitment to love, share, trust, and grow with another person. It is the beginning of a whole new life. We share with Melissa and Jason their delight in finding love within each other, and support their decision to be together from now until the end of time. We are all here to learn about loving and being loved, and watching this miracle of love being exchanged enriches each and every one of us. Therefore, we appreciate the opportunity to witness the shared love of this beautiful couple. Their enthusiasm is contagious, the certainty of their destiny together is inspiring and their great expectations give us all a glimpse of the heights love can reach. The marriage of Jason and Melissa brings together two different families; two unique storylines, so a new chapter in their lives can begin to unfold.
Covenant of Children
Though this relationship was formed out of the love these two have found in each other, their marriage will ultimately be blessed by the support of their families.
Who stands with this woman to symbolize her family’s support of this union?
Maxwell: I do.
Who stands with this man to symbolize his family’s support of this union?
Ethan: I do.
Charge to Couple
This is a new beginning for the both of you and I’d like to offer some gentle reminders to ease your lifelong task of living and growing together. Be kind to each other. And, when you disagree, do it respectfully. Be gentle and forgiving with each other. When you forgive, your hearts make room for a little more love, a little more understanding, and a little more compassion. Communicate with each other and be certain to understand the true intent of what is on each other's hearts. Share the joy that’s in your heart and the sorrow that burdens your soul. Open your hearts to each other and find love. Laugh… a lot. Laugh as often and as much as possible. Laugh at yourselves as well as at each other. Laugh together!
Declaration of Intent
Jason, do you come here today, in the presence of family and friends as your witnesses, with love in your heart and with a conscious desire to be united in marriage with Melissa? Do you promise to share the responsibility for growth and enrichment of your lives together and give to Melissa all the loving support she needs to become the person she is destined to be? If so, please say, "I will." ... And will you continue to admire Melissa for the unconditional love that you feel from her? The feeling you get when she kisses you in the morning before you get out of bed? And that feeling you get from Melissa that reminds you that you are the person in her life that is her everything? If so, please say, “I will.”
(Pause for Jason to say, “I will.”)

Vow Exchange
Please face each other and join hands.

To grow with you through all my days, as long as we both shall live.

Melissa and Jason, by coming here today, you have reached a crossroads in your lives. You’re turning away from your yesterdays and looking ahead to your tomorrows. Your past is a distant memory and your future, an awaiting adventure of a new commitment and a new life. The bonds you are forging today will change your lives forever.
Do you, Jason, promise to take Melissa to be your wife? To always respect and care for her; to make her laugh, and let her cry? To offer your best counsel and give your sincerest support with all the love you have to give? If so, please say, “I do.”

Ring Exchange
May I have the rings, please? Though we have heard the vows, which have been shared by Jason and Melissa, words, once spoken, are carried away on the wind. Therefore, the wedding ring is a visible symbol of the promises that have been made.
Jason, as you place the ring on Melissa’s finger, please repeat after me:
With this ring, I marry you and bind my life to yours…
It is a symbol of my eternal love...
My everlasting friendship, and the promise of all my tomorrows...
They say love is a journey; I promise that I’ll never leave...
When it’s too heavy to carry, remember this moment with me...
I get to love you. It’s the best thing that I’ll ever do...
Melissa, as you place the ring on Jason’s finger, please repeat after me:
With this ring, I marry you and bind my life to yours...
It is a symbol of my eternal love...
My everlasting friendship, and the promise of all my tomorrows...
One look at you, my whole life falls in line...
I prayed for you before I called you mine...
I get to love you. It’s a promise I’m making to you...
May these wedding rings be a reminder to Melissa and Jason of the commitment they have made today and be a testimony to all the world of their devotion in marriage. Blessings we wish for your love, a love that brings out the best in each of you as you bring out the best in each other. A love that gives you something to lean on when you need it most, and one that allows you to see each other as you really are, and blessings for love that proves as a reminder of why you’ve chosen to commit to one another. May you find within yourselves all that you need to nurture your marriage. Finally, we wish you joy, a joy that makes you laugh out loud; a joy that lights your eyes and fills your soul, and a joy that shouts to the world of your happiness with one another.
Pronouncement
Jason and Melissa, you have heard the words about love and marriage, have exchanged vows and made your promises, and celebrated your union with the giving and receiving of rings. It is at this time that I pronounce you husband and wife! I would like to present for the first time, Mr. & Mrs. Jason Walters. Jason, you may kiss your bride!
