We are gathered together here to join Makayla Lauren Lindsey and Erik Michael Lain Johnson in the union of marriage. Who gives this woman in marriage? (Your dad says “Her mother and I do”)
Makayla and Erik fell in love by chance, but you’re here today because you’re both making a choice. You both are choosing each other. You’ve chosen to be with someone who enhances you, who makes you think, makes you smile, and makes every day brighter.
You’re about to make promises to each other that you intend to keep. You’re going to vow to make care of each other, to stand up for one another, and find happiness in the other. There’s a simple premise to each of these promises: you’re vowing to be there, You’re teaming up and saying to the other, “ Every experience I am going to have, I want you to be a part of.”
Erik, do you give Makayla everything you are and everything you ever will be? Do you value her and your friendship beyond measure? Do you promise to share your dreams, go on adventures with her, support her through life’s toughest moments? Will you never stand behind her, or in front of her, but always beside her? Will you listen to her with an open heart and an open mind, pledging your honesty, compassion, forgiveness, and fidelity to her and to your family? Do you promise to love her no matter what tomorrow brings? Do you promise to always be her most loyal friend and loving husband because she is your heart and your soul now and forever? (Erik: I Do)

Your wedding ring is a symbol of your promise to one another. The ring, an unbroken, never ending circle, is a symbol of committed, unending love.
Erik, as you place this ring on Makayla’s finger, repeat these words after me:
This ring symbolizes my love for you
and the commitments we made today

Makayla and Erik, you have come here today of your own free will and in the presence of family and friends, have declared your love and commitment to each other. You have given and received a ring as a symbol of your promises. By the power of your love and commitment to each other, and by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now share your first kiss as husband and wife.
Congratulations. Friends and family, I now present to you the newly married couple, Mr & Mrs. Johnson.
