Jasmin Barr And Kendall Letourneau’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Welcome: A wedding is such a wonderful occasion, filled with hopes, dreams, and excitement. We are here today as families and friends to celebrate the love that Kendall and Jasmin have for each other, and to recognize and witness their marriage, which is a sacred and joyous covenant. No other vows are more sacred or binding than those of marriage, and therefore it is not by any to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, discreetly, and thoughtfully.

Kendall and Jasmin, you have made a very serious decision in choosing to marry each other. You are entering a sacred covenant as husband and wife. Recognizing that marriage is not the end of two people and the formation of one, but the joining of two individuals who, while becoming one with another, still remain unique individuals.

Kendall, do you understand and accept this responsibility, and do you promise to do your very best each day to love her as a person, respect her as an equal, and be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?

Jasmin, do you understand and accept this responsibility, and do you promise to do your very best each day to love him as a person, respect him as an equal, and be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?

Who presents Jasmin to be wed to Kendall?

The quality of your marriage will reflect the effort you put into being faithful, kind, tender, and respectful of each other. When two people come together in marriage, they take the primary loyalty which they once reserved for the families in which they grew up and they offer that primary loyalty to each other, forming now a new family.

You, family and loved ones are here today because you are important people in Kendall and Jasmin’s lives, and so they desire your blessings. Do you agree to support Kendall and Jasmin as they grow and nurture this union?

We have given our blessings to you this day, it is up to you to continue sharing the blessings each day of your lives together.

Marriage Address: A poem by: Roy Croft

I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you, not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you, for the part of me that you bring out. I love you for putting your hand into my heaped-up heart and passing over all the foolish, weak things that you can’t help dimly seeing there, and for drawing out into the light all the beautiful belongings that no one else has looked quite far enough to find. You have done it without a tough, without a word. You have done it by being yourself, my companion and comforter, guide and friend, the one I love.

Unity Candle: Now as you each take a single candle, bring them together to ignite a new flame to represent the union you are entering into together. May the new flame of this candle burn ever bright as a beacon of your love and commitment. Just as two single flames have joined and given new light as one, you are no longer individuals. Your adventures are not over, you now have the blessing of being supported and sharing them together as you move forward united to burn brightly together, as husband and wife.

An Apache Love Song:

Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth for the other. Now you need not walk alone, for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two bodies, but there is only one life before you. Go now to your dwelling place, to enter into the days of your togetherness. And may your days be good and long upon the earth.

VOWS: Marriage is always spoken of as a bond and a promise, it is the clasping of hands, joining of hearts, and the union of two lives into one. Remember in marriage the understanding is; “I love you today”, but also, “I promise to love you tomorrow, the next day, and always.” Today is about promises that become permanent, and choices that show who we really are, and today you choose each other.

I, Kendall Letourneau, take you Jasmin Barr, as my one true love, as my companion and spouse. I pledge to you my devotion as your husband, and my honesty as your best friend. I promise to nurture our relationship so that we retain our separate identities, yet we are as one. I pledge to you this special day my deepest love, a love of body, mind, and soul, that only we can share. Most of all, I vow to further our love and understanding of each other. This day I give you my heart.

Rings: Just as we bear witness to a written covenant with our signatures, so too, do we exchange wedding rings to seal the vows of the marriage. Wedding rings are an enduring symbol that remind us that this contract was not entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Honor your promises to each other and please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Repeat after me:

I, Kendall Letourneau, present to you this ring as a sign that I choose you to be the woman with whom I share the rest of my life. Today, forever, and always.

I, Jasmin Barr, present to you this ring as a sign that I choose you to be the man with whom I share the rest of my life. Today, forever, and always.

Now as Kendall and Jasmin have bonded themselves to one and other by exchanging vows, and by the giving and receiving of rings, I do now, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the State of Illinois, pronounce that they are married. You may now seal this union with a kiss.

Presentation: Loved ones, please join me in welcoming and congratulating Kendall and Jasmin.
