Christopher would like to have a first look moment so be watching after two brides maids, one jr bride and flower girl and ring boy.
Hello! This day, May 11th 2018 something magical happens! While we enjoy this amazing moment, please silence your cell phones and enjoy the moment! There is plenty of time for photos during the reception!
Then the music starts :
All Rise for the Bride!
Who gives this woman to be married today? (James Carter will reply)
I DO (kisses and hugs to the bride and hand over to Christopher) Thank you so much! Please be seated.
***Welcome to all, and many blessings as we join together today
to witness the marriage of Deidre and Christopher.
We know that Love, __true love__, is what brings us here together today.
And love is that dream within a dream.***
As it is said in Corinthians:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7New International Version
4 Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres.
Christopher Alan Little and Deidre Rheanne Dunning - do you come before me to be united in marriage?
Response WE DO
Deidre to Christopher, I love you
Deidre to Christopher, I know.
Do you, the families and friends of Christopher and Deidre,
give them your blessing
and promise to uphold and care for them in their adventure of matrimony?
WE DO.
Let us all take a moment to pray.
Gracious Creator,
We ask all blessings upon Christopher and Deidre on their wedding day and throughout their lifetime together.
May they be blessed with kindness, to enable them to nurture and care for one another in times of hardship or sorrow.
May they be blessed with the spirit of joyfulness and amazement,
so that they make take part fully of the beauties and pleasures of creation.
May they always let their love flourish
as it is truely a gift from you.
May they always live and grow together in trust and peace. Amen.
Christopher and Deidre, you stand before us today with hearts,- minds -and souls --ready to commit to this wonderful alliance of Marriage.
Marriage, and the union it symbolizes,
can be the most intriguing of human experiences,
They know that standing before you all today,
that marriage is
Do or do not... there is no try.
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A good marriage must be created.
You both must promise to each other
to work through the little things before they become big things.
It is always remembering to say I love you.
It is you two, standing together,-- facing the world--,
knowing that together you are an extraordianry force to be reconed with.
To do all of this --you must remember that to be that extraordiary couple -- you must not only marry the right partner, but BE the right partner.
Never take anything for granted.
As in time honored tradition,
it is now Christopher and Deidre's turn to repeat the vows many of us in the room have taken.
Please use this moment to reflect on those vows with your beloved as they recite theirs.
Deidre before these witnesses, please repeat these vows to your beloved.
I,Deidre Dunning take Christopher Little
to be my husband,
to have and to hold from this day forward;
for better, for worse; for richer, for poorer;
in sickness and in health;
in joy and in sorrow;
as long as we both shall live.
Christopher before these witnesses please repeat these vows to your beloved.
I,Christopher Little take you Deidre Dunning,
to be my wife,
to have and to hold from this day forward;
for better, for worse; for richer, for poorer;
in sickness and in health;
in joy and in sorrow;
as long as we both shall live.
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
It must be created.
Their differences of habit and language are nothing at all --if their aims are not identical and hearts open.
They know that they are only as strong as they are united and weak when divided.
May the Maid of Honor please present the cord.
This chord will have a place in Christopher and Deidre's new home.
(Please hold hands)
May the East (air) remind you that you must never stop talking to each other, and support each others ideas.
May the West (water) remind you that you are a reflection of each other, help each other shine.
May the South (fire) remind you that there is always passion and something to fight for, something to stay together for.
May the North (earth) remind you that you need each other to stay grounded, to help with all the not so fun parts of being married.
And may you both (spirit) remind you that you have found the missing part of each of your souls. Apart, you are are incomplete.
(Christopher and you both give the tied bow a kiss)
As I untie this knot, remember, that like the cord that made the knot,it can be reused, reloved, and reshaped as time goes by. Keep this close in your home to remind you of this day.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
It is now time for the presentation of the rings.
(The best man or maid of honor usually hand them to me. )
A ring is a fitting symbol for a wedding promise.
No beginning and no end,
a symbol of adventures taken together.
Love without end is what we hope to achieve in marriage
and with that fulfilling the journey.
To improvise a bit from Tolkien: Two rings to rule them all,
two rings will find them,
two rings to bring them all and in this marriage, bind them.
May these rings always glow with that love that the wearer feels today!
Christopher,
Please take Deidre's left hand and place the ring...repeating afer me:
I give you this ring as a sign of our love
that I know We can't give up just because things aren't the way we want them to be.
My beloved is mine, and I am hers; With this ring, I thee wed.
This ring is a sign of my commitment to you, Always.
At this time Christopher takes a stone from the altar and says its dangerous to go alone, take this!
Deidre,
Please take Christopher's left hand and place the ring... repeating after me.
I give you this ring as a sign of our love
that I know We can't give up just because things aren't the way we want them to be.
My beloved is mine, and I am his; With this ring, I thee wed.
This ring is a sign of my commitment to you, Always.
Today, the bride and groom have strengthened their friendship by being united in the ceremony of marriage.
May they grow in insight, love, and strength in each other.
May they always know that they have each other as companions in lifetime.
May they only grow stronger in their bonds,
and always remember to deal with troubles with strength knowing that they have each other.
May they celebrate joys knowing that they have created this wonderful life together.
May the love that is theirs today always be shining.
With their vows taken.
With their rings exchanged,
they are to be recognized as married.
By my ordination and the state of Florida's approval, may I announce to all Mr and Mrs Little!
