" This was such a great experience..it was my nephews wedding and I was thrilled they asked me to officiate. We come from a family of cryers, so I wasn't sure how I was going to handle it. I teared up during the processional, but the bride was very relaxed, so I relaxed. Everyone tells me I did great..and I feel I did..I may have skipped a few lines of my prepared script, but I mostly stuck to it. I did try to memorize most of it..there were a few ad libs also. I'm glad it's done, but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. "

Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together to join Laurel Johnson and Bryce Allen Schroeder in the spiritual union of marriage. It's a beautiful day, we couldn't have asked for a lovlier setting for this very special ceremony.

Laurel and Bryce are unique in the fact that they've done everything backwards. But every step that has led you here today has been supported by family and friends. You've welcomed a son, and made him your priority. Chase is the reason you breathe. You've become part of the Orion community. You're a part of the neighborhood. Most married couples have experienced these events. Just ask your Mom and Dad, Laurel..or your Aunt Patty and Uncle Mike..Bryce..just look and your gramma and granpa, or your Aunt Carla and Uncle Donnie..they'll tell you its been nothing but roses and moonbeams. I'm also sure that probably more than once ,each of you have wondered what you had gotten yourself into. Well, here's the neat part, the part that defines Laurel and Bryce. That despite the bumps in the road you're standing here today. You're saying loudly and clearly, for the universe to hear, this is what we believe in: we believe in our love, we believe in our trust, we believe in the strength and loyalty of our family. We also believe in hunting season and Girls Night Out, but mostly. it's our love. And it's this love that has united you and it's this love that will keep you strong for whatever life has in store.
