Karen May Reel
Minister ID: 560097 View Ordination Certificate
Officiated by Karen May Reel in California on October 6th, 2018.
"This all happened since my brother and his girlfriend set a date and then had to figure out the details backwards. They had everything but someone to do the ceremony and after a few pleas with their friends to sign up to officiate, I gave in and signed up with AMM. We used the "asked to officiate" book to plan the ceremony and vows. With a few edits, run thrus, and final changes the bride and groom were happy with the plan. This was a non-religious wedding and as a first time officiate, I found the money was well spent on that book. Tip #1 Take a picture of the signed wedding license before mailing it and send the picture to both bride and groom and keep one on your phone until the final legal certificate is sent back by the city/county. None of us did that and the bride needed it to get added to her husband's health insurance. Tip #2 Read your part as an officiate out loud over and over before the ceremony until it sounds natural. If the couple are writing their own vows, read those out loud as well. That was helped us make changes so the words would flow better. Tip #3 Relax. Realize that the key thing is the couple's happiness and at the end of the ceremony, they'll be married and no one will remember if you stumbled on a word."
