* We are gathered together here to join Katherine known by many as “Kat” and Daniel in the spiritual union of marriage...

 

Officiant:

* All those gathered here today and in spirit please let us lift up and surround both Kat and Daniel in as much love, light & joy as they start this very special journey in their lives... We will now turn our focus on the most important people here today as they both are united in marriage...

 

* You both have both come together today with the most thoughtfully and seriously intent, with a deep realization of the daily curves and corners that are part of becoming the unique family you’ve chosen to be today...

 

* The love, the loyalty, and the unique understanding of each moment are the true foundations of a joy filled and happy home...

 

* Kat and Daniel you will continue to bring yourselves back to this day where you’ve chosen to focus on your hearts & hands as you are united as one ... no matter when or where life takes you ...

 

The Declaration of Intent by Kat and Daniel

 

Officiant:

* Kat, as you offer your love to Daniel you will respond to your vows by repeating after me:

* I vow you the first cut of my meat

* The first sip of my wine

* From this day it shall only your name I cry out in the night

* And into your eyes that I smile each morning

* I shall be a shield for your back as you are for mine

* Not shall a grievous word be spoken about us

* For our marriage is sacred between us and no stranger shall hear my grievance

* Above and beyond this

* I will cherish and honor you through this life and into the next...

Kat at this time do you pledge your love to Daniel?

Kat will respond “I do”

* Daniel, as you offer your love to Kat you will respond to your vows by repeating after me:

* Kat and Daniel will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and devotion to each other ...

 

The Ring Exchange

Officiant:

* As we’ve spoken this day about love the Ring is a symbol of your unending love as a circle is never ending...

* As you both take these rings as I hand them to you.

* Gently sliding the ring onto the ring finger of your loved ones left hand ...

* I will have you both say together by repeating after me ...

* “With this ring, I thy wed.”

 

Officiant:

* Part of today we will be doing a Handfasting or Binding for life as part of Kat and Daniel’s celebration today.

 

* Kat and Daniel have now chosen an ancient act of the Handfasting & Binding their hands & hearts as a symbol of their eternal love and commitment. Instead of rings they will feel the need of eternal connection of always being there to hold the hand, the heart & the spirit within each other through their path & journey into the future...

 

* As the ribbons & lace binding them now will be a permanent part of what this day has been about and each day forward always close in their thoughts and actions...

 

* This will be their new life of always “being there” for each other..,

 

* With no one to ever come between ... as they remember to connect back to this most amazing day of celebration... their focus ALWAYS to remain on each other 1st even as their family grows ... as this union is about making one another the others priority at all times ... even on the roughest of times ... as the sun does always return to our hearts...

 

* A gentle reminder that out of all of that we’ve done today I ask that you both always put each other 1st, stand together through all the winds of change as the mighty oak does each and every day. Sink your roots deep into each other’s heart ... now and forever ...
