"This was a great time spent with family and friends! My sister and brother-in-law used this "Renewal Luau" to kick off their very first "couple's only" vacation, to the Bahamas and our dad got to "walk her down the aisle". "

We have all joined Meredith and Scott today to share in their Luau. Along with the party, they have expressed a desire to use this occasion, to renew their marriage vows.
Many people think that entering into marriage is the final step in a romantic relationship.
But marriage is not meant to be the "final step"; it is really just the beginning of a grand adventure!
You two have shared the joys, blessings, and challenges of married life, for 14 years. Do you take today for renewal, and to reaffirm your commitment to each other; to continue to work together to make your marriage grow in the years to come? (answer with "We Do!")
My hope for this ceremony, is that it will remind you, that despite the stresses of life, your love, respect, trust and understanding in each other, will continue to increase.
On the day you were married, you exchanged your rings as a symbol of the never-ending circle of love. These rings continue, to serve as a reminder of your vows to each other, and your commitment to live in unity and love. I would like to take a moment to confirm the meaning of the rings you wear.
Join hands, and will, Both of you together, please, repeat after me?
I wear this ring…, you placed on my hand…, March 5th, 2004…, as a symbol of my love…, and commitment to you.
Scott's Vow (he reads):
My dearest love, as we stand here today, I think back to all the wonderful memories we've shared.
There is no greater feeling in life than to have your best friend by your side, every day! Though we have our struggles, our love has been strong enough to conquer it all. I am thankful, for you being in my life each and every day.
Meredith's Vow (she reads):
You are more of a man than I ever imagined could come into my life. You are confident, independent, caring, nurturing, and supportive. You make every day on earth a day worth waking up for.
You are my world and my everything. To you, I give my heart, soul, body, and mind every second of every day. I take you today not only as my husband yet again, but as my best friend and lover, my confidant, my shoulder when I need to cry, and the person whose arms I could not picture being without.
Continue to cherish each other as special and unique individuals. Always be there to give love, comfort, and refuge to each other, in good times and bad. And most of all, be able to forgive, and not hold grudges.
Love is an Action. It is a choice and something you "do"! So, please chose to Live each day in love.
Today you have renewed the promises and vows you made to each other on the day you were married. You have symbolized the renewal, of the marriage, by the joining of hands, the expression of your vows, and by the wearing of your rings.
It has truly, been my Honor, to perform your vow renewal ceremony, and to share in this special occasion, with you!
Scott, You may now KISS your wife!
