INTRODUCTION

Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered together here to join Michelle Pool and Page Workman in the spiritual union of marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

THE COUPLE

I first met Page many years ago. Those who truly know Page know that he stands out not for his outlandish audacity, but for his thoughtful kindness. And his bride, Michelle, shines brightly for her beautiful honesty, to herself and to those she loves.

No one can speak of Page without speaking of his love for the 80's. Its trends. Its hairstyles and way of dress. Its groundbreaking cinema. In fact, I was certain he would never love anything or anyone as much as he loved the 80's.

And then this fierce princess came into his life and changed it all. She wasn't a damsel in distress who needed saving. She knows where she's going, and she also knows who she wants to travel this long path with. Who she wants to share in the challenges and the rewards of life.

But if she ever does have fear or uncertainty, he knows that he is the one who will keep her safe and on the road. And if she ever doubts him, she should know he is stubborn enough in his love to do the right thing. Also, if he is to ever again burn off his own eyebrows and arm hair, she is to mend his wounds, and to not laugh at his misfortune. Too hard.

The sharpness of Michelle’s wit is only equal to the openness of her heart. Her love and loyalty to her friends and family is strong, unmatched. Her adoration of pop culture is also on another level, each word, line or film a form of connection, a way of life. Her groom shares in this wonderful world, and not only do they exist together within it, they finish parts of it with and for one another.

Where Page may lack some remembering, may Michelle be his memory. When Michelle may be overwhelmed with the big picture and the working chaos of life, may Page's eye and heart for the small, obscure details give her perspective.

The dictionary defines a "cryptid" as "an animal whose existence or survival to the present day is disputed or unsubstantiated." The both of you, standing here and validating your love for the entire world to see, have taken your name off that particular list. No one can question that your love both exists and not only survives to this present day, but will survive for every day to come.

And, as the city of Gotham will always have me to protect, cherish, adore and save it, you two now will always have one another.

CONCLUSION

Michelle and Page, I personally want to wish you both much love and happiness as you begin your new journey.
