Opening remarks:

Welcome family and friends; but more importantly welcome Rob and Asia!!!

Wow!! How awesome is today?! (And somehow I managed to get in on it, in a BIG way!!) I would have been honored just to be here celebrating this beautiful day; sitting out there with everyone; all smiles, knowing that i was witnessing the most important day of my friend’s lives…. and maybe waiting to see who runs away first….

Ha!! But today is the day that we’ll be seeing Asia and Rob take that leap; the day you both pronounce, publicly your love and commitment to each other! This is the day where the bond between you will be sealed in word and action…. and witnessed by those you hold most dear.

So, at this time, Rob and Asia wish to thank each and every one of you, here today for joining them as they express their love for each other and for their family. They wish to honor each of you as you have all been a very important part of helping create who they have become as individuals, and who they will grow to be as a family.

Now for the good part…

Words on marriage:

Rob and Asia;

Marriage is like a roller coaster. And today, after a long wait in line, you two are committing to ride it, together! It may have started as an a simple swipe, we know that, in most cases this part of the ride starts with a slow climb, and lots of anticipation. Once aboard, we expect the ride of marriage to have ups and downs; thrilling moments with twists and turns followed by the moments where we are inching along enjoying the quiet. What makes marriage wonderful is that you are not riding alone, you have a partner alongside you who is there holding your hand, whispering calm words, or screaming in excitement! Just like a rollercoaster, you will never want to get off.

Remember, “Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.”

With that being said:

Vows:

Will you, Rob take Asia to be your wife, your life partner, your best friend, your partner in crime; will you love, honor, and cherish her as long as you live?

WIll you stand by Asia’s side in sickness, in health, in times of prosperity and decline, and in good times, bad times and downright crazy times?

ROB: I will

Do you promise to make Asia smile and giggle, at least once a day?

ROB: I do

Do you vow to be open with your thoughts, comfort her in times of sorrow, and strive for harmony in your marriage with a quiet and gentle spirit?

ROB: I do

Now, Asia; were you paying close attention?

Are you game?

ASIA: YES!!! I am, and I will!

Cool, now for the rings.

Pronouncement, kiss & Introduction:

Having witnessed your marriage vows, with all who are assembled here today and by the authority vested in me by the State of Maryland, it is with the greatest happiness that I now pronounce you Man and Wife!

You may now seal your vows and promises with a kiss!!
