Invocation
As family & friends, we are gathered together here to join Cooper Burke and Amie Wheeler in the spiritual union of marriage. This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.
Blessing
Cooper and Amie, remember to treat yourselves and each other with respect, and remind yourselves often of what brought you together. May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding.
Declaration of intent
Officiant: Cooper & Amie if you will now turn to face each other as you hold both hands for the declaration of intent from you both...
Now Cooper, if you'll repeat after me...
I, Cooper, take you, Amie, to be my wife...loving what I know of you...and trusting what I don't yet know...I anticipate the chance to grow together...falling in love a little more every day...I promise to love and cherish you...through whatever life may bring...
Officiant: And now it's Amie’s turn...
I, Amie, take you, Cooper, to be my husband...loving what I know of you...and trusting what I don't yet know...I anticipate the chance to grow together...falling in love a little more every day...I promise to love and cherish you...through whatever life may bring...
Officiant: As you each exchange your rings as a symbol of your love and commitment... as you place the ring on Amie’s finger,
Cooper, do you take Amie to be your lawfully wedded wife?...
Cooper: “I do”
Officiant: Amie, do you take Cooper to be your lawfully wedded husband?...
