"This couple was an honor to unite with a commitment ceremony. As a same sex marriage at this time is not legal in the state of Mississippi. They plan to have a wedding in the future, but for now they wanted to exchange their vows to one another. UPDATE: I am happy to announce that Josh and Ravon have made their marriage legal in 2018 and yes, I had the honor to officiate the ceremony. Congratulations to both of them."

We are gathered together here to join Ravon and Josh in the spiritual union of marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

Ravon and Josh will now share their vows.
