"This was my very first ceremony to officiate. I am truly humbled by the young Military couple. They didn't expect anything fancy and were totally excited to be getting married on the beach... on the white sands... it was truly a beautiful day. It was a last minute decision to make... I got a text from the Groom on Saturday that the original minister cancelled out on them and they wanted to get married on Monday (TODAY!!!). I spent Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning preparing and reading and researching... and I pulled it off. Both young and beautiful souls... God bless them both. Pronouncing them Husband and Wife and reading the vows had me all filled with happiness for them as I looked at both of them. The exchanging of the ring was even more awesome!!! So, to finish up or 'finalize' the marriage in Hawaii, it's actually very simple to go online to the State of Hawaii, Dept of Health, Vital Records section and update the marriage license and make it official. Again, I am truly humbled by today's experience and given this opportunity to preside over a young Military couple."
