A wedding is a perfect ceremony, in a perfect setting or venue, with the perfect dress, and of course with the perfect soon to be spouse. You two get the wedding on this beautiful day surrounded by nature and the ones that are closest to you to witness your union. But a marriage is more than that which you two are not strangers to. A marriage is illness as Matt supports you in your recovery from your stroke, fights over whether Case IH red or John Deere green is going to be the accent color in your living room, compromising when Nicole thinks she is always right, and of course, the best part is making up.
Declaration of Intent
Nicole and Matt please join hands. If you have come here freely and willingly without hesitation or reservation to be joined together as husband and wife reply together “We have”
Vows
Traditional wedding vows have you agree to stick by each other’s side through good times and bad. To support each other in joy and sorrow and love one another through sickness and health. The two of you live these vows every day already.
Nicole, repeat after me….”Today I take you as my husband. I love you now as I've always loved you, and as I always will love you.”
Matt, repeat after me….”Today I take you as my wife. I love you now as I’ve always loved you, and as I always will love you.
Rings
The wedding rings perfectly symbolize the never-ending love you two have for each other. By exchanging these rings, you solidify a lifelong commitment to one another. The rings also serve as a welcome and constant reminder of the bond you've formed.
Nicole, place the ring on Matt’s finger and repeat after me….
I give you this ring as a symbol of my enduring love. Just as the circle of the ring completes itself, so you complete me.
Matt, place the ring on Nicole’s finger and repeat after me…..
I give you this ring as a symbol of my enduring love. Just as the circle of the ring completes itself, so you complete me.
Pronouncement
Nicole and Matt, by the power vested in me by the American Marriage Ministries and the state of Nebraska, I am pleased to pronounce you wife and husband, sealed together today both in law and in love. Matt, you may kiss your bride!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ellenberger
