Officiated by Tyus A. Ellison at Cheesman Prak in Denver, Colorado on September 17th, 2026.
"Officiating Guy Postlewait and Jessica Kubishin’s wedding was such a memorable experience! I was both excited and nervous, especially because I started out taking their photos. When they decided to have the wedding right there at Cheesman Park, we began getting everything ready! Since I couldn’t officiate and photograph the ceremony at the same time, I recruited a young lady who was sitting nearby with a young man. She graciously stepped in and took amazing photos! After the ceremony, she handed back my camera and casually told us she had actually gone to school for photography. Talk about finding the right person at the right moment! My favorite part was that Guy and Jessica came up with their own vows on the spot. It made the ceremony feel so personal and uniquely theirs. Unfortunately, I’m sworn to secrecy about the contents of those vows—you’ll have to ask them! 😂 I’m grateful I got to be part of their day, both behind the camera and as their officiant. It’s an experience I’ll always remember!"
Opening
Guy and Jessica, today you’re taking a moment to make promises to each other and begin your marriage. I’m honored to be here with you.
Take a breath, hold each other’s hands, and enjoy this moment.
[Pause.]
Marriage grows through the everyday ways you care for each other: listening, making each other laugh, keeping your promises, and offering support when it’s needed most.
May you stay curious about each other as you grow and change. May you speak honestly, listen with patience, and remember, especially on difficult days, that you are on the same team.
Today, you’re choosing to build that life together.
Declaration of Intent
Guy, do you take Jessica to be your wife, to love and respect her, and to stand beside her through the joys and challenges of life?
Guy: I do.
Jessica, do you take Guy to be your husband, to love and respect him, and to stand beside him through the joys and challenges of life?
Jessica: I do.
Personal Vows
You’ve each written your own vows—the words and promises you want to carry into your marriage.
Guy, when you’re ready, please share your vows with Jessica.

Exchange of Rings
[If they are exchanging rings, continue below. Otherwise, move to the closing.]
These rings will be a daily reminder of the promises you’ve just made. May they bring you back to this moment and the love you feel for each other today.
Guy, as you place the ring on Jessica’s finger, please repeat after me:
Jessica, I give you this ring
as a symbol of my love
and the promises I have made today.

Guy and Jessica, may your home be a place where you both feel loved, understood, and free to be yourselves. May you find comfort in each other, make time for laughter, and keep discovering things to love about the life you share.
You have spoken your vows and chosen each other as partners in marriage.
It is my great joy to pronounce you husband and wife.
You may kiss!
[Step aside and give them a moment together.]
